Chicken Taco Sliders
Posted by
onThese chicken taco sliders are small to serve as snacks, but good enough to eat as a meal! See my other recipe on how to make shredded chicken. Once you have done that, these little guys are easy to make.
PREP TIME | COOK TIME | TOTAL TIME | SERVINGS |
5 - 8 mins | 3 - 5 mins | 5 - 10 hrs | 2 tacos |
INGREDIENTS:
½ Cups Shredded chicken (¼ cup or so per taco)
2 Small corn tortillas
¼ Cups Grated cheese (or more if you want more)
Some salsa of choice
Fresh cilantro
DIRECTIONS:
Everything you need. My local grocery store sells these little
tortillas, but you can use regular-sized tortillas (flour too if you
prefer) if you can't find them.
You can use any chicken you have for this but to really enjoy the tacos
as pictured, you'll need to cook with the instructions from the Shredded Chicken recipe. That and you'll need salsa from
Trader Joe's.
Put two corn tortillas in a pan over high heat. You want to get a nice crisp on them. It's a trick I learned from a place called The TJ Oyster Bar. They make the best tacos in San Diego!
Brown the tortilla on both sides. Sprinkle a little cheese and then about 1/4 cup of shredded chicken on top. Let the cheese melt before removing from the pan.
Top the taco sliders with your favorite salsa as well as some freshly-chopped cilantro for garnish. Serve immediately. You can always add some avocado or sour cream too! Enjoy...
